Who is Jeff Koon?
I’m Jeff — a nature and wildlife photographer who enjoys being outdoors and experiencing the world as it unfolds.
Photography has always been a way for me to slow down, pay attention, and better understand the natural places I spend time in. Whether I’m watching light move across a landscape or observing wildlife behavior in the field, I’m drawn to moments that feel honest and unforced. My approach to nature and wildlife photography is rooted in patience, observation, and time spent outdoors.
My work focuses on photographing nature, wildlife, and the quieter details that often go unnoticed. I don’t stage scenes or bait wildlife. Every image reflects a real moment — sometimes brief, sometimes subtle — shaped by changing light, natural behavior, and thoughtful timing.
In addition to creating images, I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned through experience. Photography is more than pressing a shutter button or owning the latest gear. It’s about understanding light, recognizing patterns in nature, and making intentional choices in the field. Through my photography and educational resources, I aim to help others grow in both their appreciation for the outdoors and their ability to create meaningful images.
This website is a place to explore nature and wildlife photography, learn from real field experience, and better understand how strong images are made. Whether you’re new to photography or continuing to develop your skills, my hope is that spending time here leaves you feeling motivated, inspired, and more connected to the natural world.
